My name is James Avery and I founded Securicom Services in 1999 after being an engineer in the field for many years. When I started my company, I had the simple intention of providing high quality workmanship with a good service. Like many new companies when they first start up, I was the only employee, thirteen years on, my business and workforce have grown but my intentions have never changed.
Quality workmanship and unparalleled customer service has proven to be a winning formula and one that I strongly believe in. I don’t necessarily want to be the biggest company but i do want it to be the best at what it does.
I guess that if you are on this page you may be thinking of getting in touch so this is a good opportunity for me to explain why we are so different to other companies that provide the same services and why you should consider using Securicom Service above anyone else.
I have made this page personal rather than just a predictable about page as i believe it’s important for any future customer to understand how i like to run my business and the standards i set myself and expect from my employees.
Why did i get into this industry?
When I was an engineer and before I started Securicom Services, I was embarrassed representing the various companies that I had worked for. I was continually hearing from customers of the poor service they were receiving and I was putting right other engineer’s mistakes. I was seeing firsthand the shoddy work that was being turned out by engineer that didn’t care or seem to have any pride in their work. They would get away with this as the companies never had quality control measures in place or just couldn’t be bothered to see what was happening in the field. Managers were never bothered as long as targets were being meet and work was being turned over. In my eyes, this was very wrong and I had to make up my mind to either leave the industry or do something about it.
What did I do about it?
Well I am fortunate be position and writing this with the confidence of being able to say that I firmly believe that Securicom Services is none of the above. I still see the shocking workmanship other companies produce and this urges me on to make sure that that my company is one for the best installation and maintenance companies in east Anglia and one that can provide a service that I would expect if I was the customer.
I still have a passion with every aspect of the business and every now and again and when time allows me, I leave my pen in the office put my tool in a van and have a day working with one of my engineers. It’s good for any employer to keep his hand in the business they are in charge of and its good for the engineers to see that there boss is willing to do anything that he expects from them.
How we work! – First meeting.
Your first contact with us will be directly with a staff member that has previous experience as an engineer and not a bonus driven salesman who really has no idea. If required, we will arrange a convenient time to conduct a site survey and will give an honest opinion and cost effective solution.
Once a project has been offered to us you can relax in the knowledge your in experienced hands. I firmly believe that strong communications from start to finish between the client and us is key to making any job run smoothly. We have many years of experience working with not just small businesses, but being involved with very large projects working with architects and planners at the design stages.
As a company, we are very fortunate to have a very close knit team of staff that are efficient and professional in what they do. Everybody that works for Securicom Services are very aware that we would not exist without our customers and that’s why we all do our very best to ensure that we provide only the very best service to set us apart from our competitors.
Over the last 13 years I have established a good reputation that has been built through honesty and sheer hard work. We are committed to sticking to timescales and delivering quality products.
